Games Day at The Royal Coach - Sorry, postponed to end of August due lack of main sponsor
Our annual charity fund raising event. This Year in honour and in memory of Sara Eaves, Landlady of the Royal Coach who tragically suddenly lost her battle with Breast Cancer on her birthday - 11th July 2009 - we are raising funds for Breast Cancer Charities - This year we have selected "Butterflies" the charity which supports the Worthing Hospital Breast Care Unit.
A day of fun and games outdoors testing competing teams strength agility and endurance - nothing to be taken too seriously - other than the Charity Auction of goods and services donated by local individuals, businesses and organisations - main auction lot (so far) a 30 minute helicopter ride for 5 or 6 people!
The usual games will be contested by the teams - Barrel Roll, Truck Pull, Tug'o War, Greasy Pole (a pillow fight on a slippery pole over water) and the finale; a beer drinking race. All harmless fun.
There will be side shows and stands and things to keep the kids amused including face painting. Kids are welcome until 6.30pm. In the evening, a Live Band - Iron Tyger - will provide energetic live music into the night.
Come along for the fun or take the challenge if you think you're hard enough and enter a team. All are very welcome.
